Water

Switzerland is a country rich in water resources. 6% of Europe’s fresh water supply is stored in the Swiss Alps. The Gotthard massif in the center of the Swiss Alps is a continental divide. From here the Rhine flows to the North Sea, the Rhone to the western Mediterranean, the Ticino (Po) to the Adriatic Sea, and the Inn (Danube) to the Black Sea.
